About Me
About Me
I'm Dahl! I'm currently a junior in high school. I'm extremely interested in biochemistry and public health. I hope to spread awareness about medical misinformation and healthcare disparities. I also want to make STEM a more approachable subject, as I believe everyone should be able to pursue what interests them. I want to share my thoughts on the various topics that interest me, which you can learn more about here!
Current Events
I spent my past summer at Emory University doing research on Multiple Myeloma in elderly patients. I'm currently in 6 AP classes, which is both the best and worst decision I have ever made. I participate in extracurriculars such as FIRST robotics, Women in STEM, Student Government, Mu Alpha Theta, and Beta Club. I'm also currently applying to Governor's Honors Program (for the second time) for chemistry.
Future Endeavors
My largest goal at the moment is to become my class's valedictorian. I am hoping to make it into GHP this year. I have submitted an abstract on my research at Emory to the American Society of Hematology for their conference in December. I'm hoping to make it into Georgia Tech. My dream job is to be the United States Secretary of Health. I want to make an impact on the world through discovering new treatments for diseases and by addressing the increasing spread of medical misinformation.
